BMW Motorrad Spezial, the factory customization It is BMW Motorrad's response to the growing demand for individualization by customers. With the launch of the R nineT, BMW Motorrad soon recognized the trend towards individualization and has taken significant steps in this segment by expanding the R nineT family with the incorporation of five models in 2017.
With this, the German brand expands its range of individualization by offering an unmistakable design, a performance improvement and exclusive factory customization options. Exclusive materials, original surfaces, handmade finishes and attention to detail define BMW Motorrad Spezial, as well as the harmonious integration of all parts in the overall design of motorcycles. The Spezial range begins with the Touring and Heritage models and will continue to expand.
From design and development to the testing stage, the Spezial program parts meet the high standards of the brand, complementing our product portfolio with the highest quality options. This is achieved by combining the long experience in development of BMW Motorrad with complex manufacturing processes and traditional craftsmanship. Since August 2017, this product range will not only include exclusive optional factory equipment, but also products from the current line of Original BMW Accessories, which meet the demanding requirements of “Spezial”.
Customers can customize their motorcycles two ways. On the one hand, they can equip them at the factory with all the visual update, asking for them with the Spezial equipment already installed. On the other, in the future they may choose accessories exclusive to the "Spezial world", which will respond to the demands of customization. This means that customers can continue customizing their motorcycles in a traditional way at dealerships.
Many manufacturers offer their accessories almost only as an upgrade, but the possibility of ordering optional factory equipment is a decades-old tradition at BMW Motorrad. The equipment and accessories are indicated on the vehicle invoice and, therefore, are also covered by the warranty. They can be financed together with the new motorcycle and thus save customers costs and time. In addition, customers can continue to customize their motorcycles even more with the wide range of optional accessories from the Spezial line.
With this release, a new brand configurator will also be introduced. For the first time a large part of the range of optional accessories will be included in the digital presentation of the R nineT models, in addition to the full range of optional factory equipment. In this way, customers can configure their motorcycle to customize it with all optional equipment and Spezial parts before it is manufactured, and see it with one or more Original Accessories installed.
The new BMW Motorrad Spezial program begins in August 2017.
