Valentino Rossi engrandece su leyenda al sumar 113 victorias

Yamaha's Italian driver wins the Red Bull Grand Prix of Spainwithout giving option to rivals. Lorenzo and Márquez on the podium. The Red Bull Grand Prix of Spain of MotoGP ™ has left Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), who entered the finish line with a margin of 2’3 seconds about his teammate and champion in the title of the queen category, Jorge Lorenzo, and the current championship leader Marc Márquez (Repsol Honda Team).

Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team), Aleix Espargaró (Team Suzuki Ecstar) and his teammate Maverick Viñales followed next, closing the list of the top ten Andrea Iannone (Ducati Team), Pol Espargaró (Monster Yamaha Tech 3 ), Eugene Laverty (Aspar MotoGP Team) and Héctor Barberá (Avintia Racing).

At the start Rossi came leading the first corner with Lorenzo, Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati Team), Márquez, Pedrosa and Aleix Espargaró behind him. During the first round the two Honda drivers beat Dovizioso, who was also overtaken by Espargaró.

In those first moments the two official drivers of Yamaha and Honda seemed to leave together in the lead group, with a slight advantage for Rossi and Lorenzo. Shortly after they both exchanged overtaking.

Márquez was then done with the fast lap, reaching Lorenzo's wheel while Rossi began to take off from his three Spanish rivals. Pedrosa lost ground in fourth place.

Behind, Espargaró tried to follow the wake of the first four with Dovizioso and Viñales on his wheel, although the distance with the first four was already too much for the Suzuki and Ducati riders. Viñales then realized Dovi in turn 13 to shoot sixth after his teammate. Álvaro Bautista (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) was falling at this time, while Rossi's advantage grew to 1.5 seconds. The bad luck he seems to pursue Dovizioso this season was baiting him again, since 17 laps from the end his Ducati was experiencing mechanical problems that forced him to retire.

Rossi rolled during the first part of the race in faster times than Lorenzo and Márquez lap after lap, which followed second and third rolling together 16 laps from the end.

Further back, Pol Espargaró, Eugene Laverty, Héctor Barberá and Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) were measured in seventh place. Iannone marched after them, who had problems tuning all weekend and went on the run riding a hard front tire that he had even tried before. However, the Italian did not resign and exceeded Crutchlow to roll tenth. Rossi's advantage over Lorenzo was already 2’7 seconds.

Nine laps from the end, Lorenzo began to slightly cut his disadvantage with respect to Rossi, while getting rid of Marquez, who was already three seconds behind Yamaha's Spaniard.

Further back, Iannone kept climbing until he reached the wheel of Pol Espargaró, whom he surpassed moments later to win seventh place.

As it had been demonstrated from the beginning, the pace of Rossi was irresistible for his Spanish rivals, taking a comfortable victory. Lorenzo and Márquez completed the podium.

Among the rest of the Spanish pilots, Tito Rabat (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) finished eighteenth.

In the provisional classification of the championship Márquez continues leader with 82 points, followed by Lorenzo with 65 and Rossi with 58.

The next round of the MotoGP ™ World Championship will be played on May 8, 2016 in the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Franceplotting Le mans. (MotoGP)
